We have the jellycat lamb and he goes through the washer and dryer at least once or twice a month. He's fine!

I wash stuffed animals in a garment bag for delicates. I also use the setting for delicates. The hair never matted for me.

We have Bashful Doe ("Mr Moosey" to his loving owner) x 2 and both have been washed in both hot and cold multiple times and lived to tell the tale. I think they've even been through the dryer a couple times. :) Glad bunbun will be back in action soon! Non washable stuffed friends do not make the cut at our house, ha ha.

@PinkElephant: I love that your daughter calls it bun bun. We have developed a serious attachment to our bun bun in the past week, completely ditching our previous loves.

I've successfully washed our entire collection of stuffed animals after a week of messy illness, including several jelly cats. As others have said, hand wash cycle and air drying are key and they still look new!

Thanks, everyone. Bun Bun is on his way to the spa as we speak.

@chopsuey: The fur is already a little matted from lots of love, so no big issues there. :)

@youboots: Genius! You get a mommy gold star for that one! :) I've got a wire doll brush for DD1's American Girl, that should do the trick.

@Foodnerd81: Haha working the knots out of American Girl doll hair is seriously good stress relief :)

@Foodnerd81: ha! I found a cute bumblebee costume at a consignment shop in the fall for Halloween this year. It took a bit to brush it out. I felt ridiculous. But it's so cute and not matted.

I've never washed it but we have the same bunny so glad to see you can. But I'm kind of laughing to myself picturing grown women sitting around brushing their stuffed bunnies @catlady: @youboots:

We have that exact bunny and it's gone through the wash several times. The fur is never the same after you wash them (it gets sort of matted). But I've noticed that the fur gets like that anyway after awhile if they are well loved. I put them in a tied up pillow case when I throw them in, and use the hand wash and air dry cycles.

@youboots: Never thought about brushing them! I am going to try this.

I wash all stuffed animals including jellycats on 'hand wash' cycle and air dry. I put them in lingerie bags. They always come out fine.

Help! When I walked into DD2's room this AM, a wave of pee-stench hit me - her diaper somehow leaked and she was soaked up the front...as were the mound of blankets/stuffed toys she sleeps on top of. I'm about to throw everything in the wash, but am not sure about her Jellycat Bashful Bunny because it is kind of shaggy/long haired.

It's this one, and mainly the ear that is seems to be wet/stinky, so I hand washed that part for now...but I'd really love to throw the whole thing in the wash if it won't destroy it.
http://www.jellycat.com/us/bashful-beige-bunny-bas3b/

Help, please! :)
