I washed everything before she came in Purex zero detergent. She was in newborn clothes for months so it was worth it.

I washed everything before DS was born. We didn't have many newborn clothes though. I would think you'd be okay with washing newborn stuff since twins tend to be smaller. They'll probably be in that size for longer than a singleton would.

I have washed everything that the baby will come in contact with (clothes, socks, hats, blankets, sheets, washcloths, towels, etc). It's what I do for myself with new clothes, so I wouldn't do any different for a baby.

Yep I'd wash. My twins were in NB clothes for a month+. DD was 5-4 and DS was 6-12. They'll be here before you know it! :)

@shopaholic: Yes. We are having b/g twins hopefully sometime in January.

Thanks ladies. I picked up a bottle of Seventh Generation detergent this past weekend so I think I'm going to start washing!

I also washed all newborn and 0-3 clothes before baby was born and put everything else away with tags. Every month or so I go through the unwashed stuff and bring out & wash clothes that he can fit in now.

Expecting multiples? yay! I'd probably wash enough clothes for 2 weeks worth so you won't be stressed out over laundry in the very beginning. I plan to just wash everything in ALL Free & Clear (same as all of our clothes). I've read it's just as gentle as the pricier Dreft detergent. Good Luck!

I washed all the clothing we had before I put it away. I'm glad I did because LO was in newborn sizes for about 4 weeks.

Did you wash all of your newborn clothes? I'm trying to get organized and put the babies' clothes in their dresser but want to wash the clothes first. I heard that some people didn't wash everything in case their kids outgrew the size quickly and didn't get a chance to wear it. I'm not too worried that the babies will outgrow it since they will probably be smaller when they are born (6 lbs or less). Any advice?
