I plan to! I wash everything before I wear/use it.. lots of fabrics have chemicals used for shipping/pressing that I don't want on my skin! Toys/stuffed animals because you know some kid in the store was playing with it before you bought it :)

Hmmmm....why did it never occur to me to wash NEW items? I'll admit, I don't wash new clothes I buy either because I'm always afraid they'll shrink and won't fit as nicely as they did in the dressing room, but that seems silly now! I have washed thrifted cloth toys in a pillow case and semi-dried them in the dryer and then let them air dry completely. That method has turned out well thus far!

I usually don't but tip I learned a long time ago for stuffed animals. When drying, put them in a pillow case because it helps keep the "fur" fluffy since it somewhat diffuses the heat.

I'll usually just wipe it down with soapy water or a wipey.

I usually don't since most wash instructions just say to wipe with soapy water but I do try to find the cleanest one to buy, lol. However, there are a few stuffed animals that I wash regularly because LO likes to slobber on them.

I do. I run them through the wash and dry on low. So far so good!

do you wash new stuffed animals or toys before letting your LO play with it?
