But I listen to newsy radio or podcasts much of the time, so they hear it. I do turn it off if it starts talking about attacks or bombings or something scary. Neither has my husband. We definitely don't watch it with our daughter. My in laws insist on watching it like clockwork which has created some issues. Last time they visited DH grabbed the remote and turned off the TV because DD was watching a segment about a gruesome murder with MIL and SIL (a teacher). They got it when DH shut off the TV and DD asked a ton of questions about what she saw but FIL doesn't care.</p> <p>I do listen to NPR in front of the kids though. Sometimes my toddler watches it with him. I'm not sure if we'll change that as she gets older.
