I was told if you get razor burn &amp; bumps after shaving, you're likely to have a reaction to waxing too. Just sensitive skin. Like @blackbird said, exfoliation is really awesome. I had never thought to do it, but now, I exfoliate my bikini line during every shower with a soft loofa. After you've gone a couple of times it's always a little easier and grows back a little slower (though annoyingly, if you shave just once in between, you are back to square one it seems!). I tend not to have red bumps right away, but I always get itchy, not quite ingrown hairs but still really annoying, bumps a week after. </p> <p>Do you know if the lotion is pregnancy safe? I've been kind of afraid to use anything besides my gentle face scrub on the area for fear of chemicals. Only do my bikini area, so it seems awfully close to the baby... They are getting smaller but they are still noticeable. At this point I kind of feel like what's the point of waxing if I'm still hiding the areas?!</p> <p>Is this typical for the first wax? Am I just super-sensitive? Was it a bad wax??</p> <p>FYI I did my lower legs and bikini. I'm using the lotion they sold me to reduce ingrown hair and reduce burn. Also I'm pregnant.</p> <p>What should I do? </p>
