I'd say the biggest downside is that for the price it has pretty low limits - weight limit of 50 pounds, height limit of 45 inches, and a harness height of 15.5 inches. But the convenience and ease of it is amazing. If price isn't an issue and you aren't overly concerned about the limits, it could be a great choice. </p> <p>The ridesafer vests are more of a wearable booster, so would not be recommended for a 3.5 unless there were very unique circumstances. Ideally kids would be 5 or very close to it. I liked it and would recommend it. It is very upright, though - not great for napping, but since you say your daughter doesn't nap in the car, that should be fine. The upright-ness didn't bother my daughter. We are spending over a month traveling this summer and will be in a bunch of different cars so this seat looks super appealing since set up is easy and it’s light. It’s expensive though. Anyone have experience with it? Does it seem comfortable? We’d use it mostly for short trips but probably occasionally 1-2 hours. She doesn’t nap in the car but I want it to be comfy enough that she won’t whine. She’s almost 3.5yo, probably 30 pounds and 33 inches. Thank you!! </p>
