I'd go for it! We did a trip at 10 weeks and it was great! Just plan for i to take longer than expected to get ready and out the door each morning.

@Miss Ariel if you plan to go, just make sure you have trip insurance/can cancel if you need to. We live in Florida, tons of Disney experience, and had sort of planned to go when DS was 3 months. Well, it turned out he had horrific reflux, colic, food intolerances, etc. He was screaming for hours and I was getting literally no sleep. There is NO WAY I would have been even myself physically up to doing the parks. I couldn't even take a shower or leave the house most days.

I'm not saying you'll have that experience, but just have cancellation as an option in case you have a challenging baby (or you just aren't sleeping enough and can't handle it!).

@Miss Ariel: FWIW, I had a colicky baby with reflux and I was on so many dietary restrictions there is no way I could have handled that trip at 8 weeks. By 13-14 weeks the colic at least at peaked and we got his meds figures out and we were able to go to visit family at Christmas, but I would have died at 8 weeks. He didn't stop screaming and I got zero sleep.

I try to roll with the punches in life and we are fairly adventurous. I would go, and try to assume that you'll get a lot less help with baby from grandparents than you would think. They'll want to be with your toddler and helping with your toddler. Which will help your husband, not you, especially if you nurse this babe.

She will have had her first round of vaccines at 8w so I probably wouldn't factor that into the equation since otherwise you wouldn't be bringing her until after a year. I would plan to wear her and bring your own stroller and probably would give yourself some time with just baby at the hotel for a few hours a day for some unharried nursing and rest (aka maybe a nap for you since you'll probably be up at night).

I think as long as you don't mind missing some of the fun to deal with feeding and diaper changes and such then you should go! You just may have to sit out some rides or activities so you don't hold the entire group up waiting to deal with baby stuff.

@Miss Ariel: we went to Disneyland with a 2 yr old & my DS was 8 weeks. It was actually one of our best trips. I baby wore pretty much exclusively. Baby slept most of the time & they have awesome nursing/baby centers if you want to relax & feed/change/rock baby.

I believe @mamabehr is going with her 3 month old plus older kids. Maybe wall her and see what she thought? I haven't been since I was a kid myself so no advice from me!

@MrsRcCar: I'll second the baby wearing suggestion!

I wore dd as an infant at WDW often and it was by far the easiest way to get around with such a little one. We would bring the stroller in so we had somewhere to keep all the "stuff" babies need, and park it in a central stroller parking area (like the carousel while we did Fantasyland) and just go back to it when we needed something or baby needed to lie down for a nap.

I would recommend Babywearing your youngest! We are planning a trip next year in September. As of now we will have a 4,3, and nearly one year old when we go. We plan to Babywear/toddler wear. Strollers have to parked and such at so many attractions it just seems like such a hassle to me.

@pwnstar: the hassle is definitely what I'm most concerned about. But after looking online last night it seemed like the advice most people had what that it wasn't that bad for them.

@HabesBabe: it'll be in the middle of December, which we've done before and wasn't too crazy. We'd definitely schedule meals and fast passes, I had actually planned out everything I was going to select before...

I would not consider taking my unvaccinated infant on that trip. Not worth the worry, the expense, or the hassle.

I'd just be worried about shots. There was a big measles outbreak at Disneyland last year, and kids under 1 haven't had their first measles shots yet.

I'd bring my own stroller or rent through an outside company because the strollers at WDW are horrible, and you'll be doing a lot of naps on the go with a 2 month old. It's manageable to go back to the hotel at DLR for naps, but everything is so spread out at WDW, you'd have to stay at the parks, most likely.

Since you're going in December (hopefully early December, anything past the first week or so will be chaotic with the Christmas crowd), bring a lot of patience. Sign up for your Fast Passes the day they're available and book a few key meals in advance. Good luck!

We've been planning a trip to wdw in December with my inlaws. Except surprise, we're pregnant and due in October.

I know you can do wdw with a 2 month old. I know about the baby centers and know they can ride anything without a height requirement.

We will have help on the trip since also going will be my mil, FIL, sil, her husband and two kids (9 and 7), plus Dh and dd who will be 2 then. But even so I imagine we'll need to spend a good amount of time on our own.

Initially I was thinking absolutely not because I'd wind up miserable. But now I'm not so sure. Anyone have any thoughts as to what you'd do?
