@swurlygurl: haha I'm not sure! It looks the same/similar to me, just a smaller canister, but it came with a lot of warnings about only using it for dry ingredients and by running it for longer than 1 min or something like that (I didn't actually read the warning oops!). We got it mostly because I didn't want to ruin my very expensive blender haha. DH uses it to make oat and corn flour also for use with his "nasty bodybuilding treats" so we use it haha.

We have one and use it mostly for smoothies. DH is considering getting the twister jar they have on sale so he can make his own peanut butter (eye roll).

@anbanan15: LOL at 'nasty bodybuilding treats'!! I've really been wanting to get the dry blade... is it really that different from the regular blade though? I was wondering if it was just a marketing thing to try to get you to spend unnecessary money...

We have a Vitamix and love it!

We haven't used it to it's full capabilities yet, but we are amazed at what you can do with it. DH uses it to make his protein shakes and various other nasty bodybuilding treats and I use it for DS. We got the dry blade (not sure if the Blendtec has a separate dry blade too) and use that to make quinoa flour for DS.

I loooove our Blendtec! It is easily one of the most used appliances in our kitchen.

I use it mostly to make smoothies, soups, marinades/sauces, and quiche (just throw all ingredients minus the veggies/meat and blend!).

We have the Vitamix - LOVE it! Mostly use it for green smoothies for breakfast.
I also use it for:
Almond butter
Banana 'ice cream'
Margaritas (1 lime, 1 orange, 1 lemon, ice, tequila, triple sec - best EVER!)
Tried soup a couple times - meh, not impressed

We just got sucked into the Blendtec demo at Costco and decided to buy one! We are really excited to use it.

Does anyone else have one? What is your favorite thing or recipe to make?
