After a sore nipple month 1, weight gain issues from 4-8 months and a strike at 13 months, weaning seems to be occurring at 15.5 months and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad. The pediatrician told me to wean 2 weeks ago, the o.b. told me to this week (as I'm pregnant) and even though I never would have just from what they said, DS is doing it on his own terms. He's nursed 2 times since Monday. He isn't asking for it and when I offer, he doesn't seem interested. I guess it could be another strike, but I'm not pushing the issue and am just letting go. We've started with some cows milk (as he's 0% and need to ensure he's getting enough fat) which I was hoping to avoid. Anyway, it's the end of an era and I've been pretty distracted with work so haven't had much time to reflect until now. Just sharing as a means to reflect, thanks for reading! </p>
