He’d be rooting for me and I’d have to either turn the other way or straight up deny him. It was a rough two weeks that’s for sure! First week was definitely the hardest. Second week was more of a re-enforcer. I don’t mind when he’s sick but now he’s completely fine but a reincarnated boob monster at night &amp; it’s killing my sleep! He likes to cosleep too so it’s just on tap whenever 😩 daytime feeds are nearly down to morning and midday, plus pre-bed. </p> <p>Any wisdom on gentle weaning from anyone would be much appreciated. LO takes no bottles and isn’t averse to milk but just hasn’t had much. Loves water but not as much as Mother’s milk! When we are home, he basically wants to nurse all evening like snacking! I want to start really keeping it at bedtime, morning, and nap time but it's hard unless we are out of the house. Starting at 2, I plan to really enforce the set times and no more night nursing. We tried night weaning a few months ago, and he was doing pretty well but I have trouble enforcing it in those early morning hours. I have him sleeping in his own room now with the hope he will start naturally sleeping longer and longer! I would like to be done by 2.5 but we will see. I never imagined going that long but it happened. With LO2 I'd be happier if he weans closer to age 2, but we'll see where it goes (he's not quite 5 months now). He just wasn't interested anymore, so it was a gradual thing over about a month. We were down to one session a day around 12 months (first thing in the morning when she woke up). It was short, and I didn't have a huge supply once I stopped pumping. At that point, I think we were nursing mostly for me because she would have been fine without it.</p> <p>Anyway, I got pregnant when she was almost 14 months old and dried up pretty quickly. When I didn't offer one morning and went straight to breakfast, she was completely fine. There was only one time she ever tried to nurse again (she reached at my PJ shirt one morning when she was hanging out in bed with us after we got her out of her crib) and I just told her the milk wasn't there anymore, it was in her cup now.
