Thanks, all! I also hope this is just a short stretch. If she doesn't start to drop the bedtime feed in a few weeks I may just skip it one night and see what happens.

I never had engorgement problems, so I would just feed on one side per day. The weaning home stretch of feeding once per day only lasted about a week though, and then we were done!

I would still only feed on one side, and then hand express a little on the other side later if I was uncomfortable. My body adjusted surprisingly quickly.

Congratulations on STTN!

Now to answer your question: My body adjusted to it pretty quickly, maybe half a week or so.

If you block fed your baby (fed on one side only at each feeding), what did you do when you were feeding only once per day?

DD has finally slept through the night a few nights in a row (hooray!), so the side I didn't use Before bed is winding up engorged and hard in the morning since it hasn't been used in 48 hrs. I'm hoping it settles down in a few days, but if she goes back and forth between waking and not (which seems likely due to teething, colds, etc.) this may be an ongoing thing.

So block feeders, did you feed from both sides in the same session when you got down to one feed per day? Or did your body just eventually adjust?
