Nursing realeases oxytocin which makes mamas happy. I'm sure you body is just adjusting to not getting your happy hormone fix so often. I'd also guess that it will level out once everything adjusts to the new production or lack thereof

This is interesting because I've been exhausted even after I dropped my midnight pump session and got in bed earlier - I guess this makes sense! Hopefully it's a quick dip ad energy levels pop back up.

I heard somewhere that weaning can trigger blues and even depression in the short term!

@Weagle: That would be nice if that happens in the long run. I think / hope the tiredness is just a short term thing of hormones adjusting.

I was just talking to someone about this tonight at church! We're not at that point, but she said she gained a ton of energy when she weaned.

I am interested in hearing responses. I am weaning some now and more tired than ever! Almost as bad as when I was pregnant and when I was waking up multiple times.

Did anyone else just feel physically exhausted when their LO dropped feeds? LO is 19 months and started nursing like a newborn after her molars came in so over the holidays we tried to cut her back a lot. I was soooo tired physically and mentally even though I was getting more sleep (and not pregnant so not from that). The last few days I feel restored Did this happen to anyone else?
