Yep! Nausea, headaches, and awful depression. Normal! Mine cleared up after a few weeks.

@septca: @Maysprout: @illumina: thanks so much for sharing!!! This morning I felt terrible until I ate something and I emailed my doctor to ask about it and she said I should take a test since it isn't something she would expect. It's good to hear other people besides the googled stories I saw have experienced it!!!

Yes! I didn't realise this was a "thing"! We started weaning from breastmilk to formula a couple of weeks ago and for a few days I actually felt like I had morning sickness again.

I felt horrible while weaning. I was emotional and felt tired and nauseous. It was after a 2 day trip so I think it was too abrupt. I continued nursing for 6 more months then we did a very sllllllooooowww wean and I didn't have problems then.

Just wanted to chime in even though this thread is a little old...I had TERRIBLE nausea and headaches for about 2 weeks when I stopped nursing/pumping during the day. I was convinced I was KU (nope). When I took my concerns to Google, I realized that this is really common. I am terrified to drop our remaining 2 nursing sessions because I don't want to go through that again!

@sandy: I did a google search and it seems like some people experience it which makes me a feel a little better but I was hoping maybe someone on here could tell me about it! I'll probably mention it to my Dr. in an email or something - it's not so bad today!

@scg00387: EEK! haha I don't even know if that is possible.

Hmmm, I didn't notice any nausea but my LO weaned super slow. Like she dropped to 2 feedings before 12 months and stayed at 2 feedings (morning and bedtime) for a few months until we were done at 14 months. I wonder if it's a coincidence or what but I had zero nausea. I hate doing it but did you try googling it? Another good resource may be your LO's pediatrician...maybe ask at his 12 month check up. Hope it resolves itself soon. Keep us posted :)

So I'm starting the process of slowly weaning now that my son is nearly a year old. This week I've reduced my pumping sessions by one or two sessions (only pumping once as opposed to twice at work and skipping my before bed pumping). My plan is to stop pumping by his birthday and continue to nurse in the morning and night for a bit longer. I've noticed quite a bit of nausea today and I'm wondering if it's because I'm pumping less? I still haven't had a period so I'm wondering I it could be the return of my hormones?

Anyone notice morning sickness like nausea while weaning?
