Ok. We have gone 4 days. I am a *little* less tearful each time I dwell on the fact that it is over. She asks sometimes but takes a 'no' pretty easily. And I am loving my redbull!
Thanks for the support, ladies :-)

My LO weaned early (9 months), mostly due to my low supply I think and I was definitely not ready. It was so emotional for me and I just obsessed over it all the time. But like Mrs. Bee, after some time I felt just fine. It was actually freeing to not think about it anymore. And awesome to not pump anymore either. But I would've still nursed him for 2 years if he wanted!

gah, LO has been sick so we've upped from 3 times a day, but i'm determined within the month to get to twice a day. it's hard though! i want to slow it down and don't at the same time. i'm conflicted for sure. i wish she would just not want it, but milk is the only sign she uses consistently and correctly! blah.

@oliviaoblivia: I am looking forward to upping my caffeine intake significantly so I am trying to hold onto that, but when it comes time every night to skip the feed, well,...I just don't, lol.

I'm there right now. DD is 15 months. We were nursing morning and night and she went from nursing for maybe 10 minutes to lingering for 40 minutes. I just couldn't do 40 minutes of nursing while trying to get ready for work.
I dropped the night feed Saturday and Sunday and nursed her for the last time Sunday morning.
I never imagined how emotional and attached I was to nursing her. She is definitely not as affected as I am.
I'm shocked by how sad I am about it. It's not as freeing as I expected.

We were down to 2x a day, then mostly 1x (evening) and I really need to stop but I find it harder than I thought.
I don't even really like nursing (don't dislike, either) so I never thought it would be hard to move on but, wowza.
Anyone else been there?
