I tried cold turkey but LO totally rejected it! I mixed formula and milk over the course of about a week and a half. started with 3/4 formula & 1/4 milk for a few days, 1/2 & 1/2 for another 2-3 days, etc. He was 100% milk by about day 10.

Btw, I kept him on the bottle this whole time, then worried about the bottle/sippy transition once he was drinking all milk. That transition wasn't difficult either, I just personally chose to do one at a time.

LO took to cows milk very easily. First I just traded out one bottle at a time from formula to milk, no problem at all. Then I dropped one bottle at a time and replaced it with milk in a straw cup. This has been a bit tougher as LO was only drinking about 2 oz out of the cup instead of 6oz in the bottle. We are on week 3 and only have the bedtime bottle left and she has upped her intake out of the cup to about 5 oz. at breakfast and lunch.

We did this about three weeks ago and it went really smoothly! I decided to try the cold turkey route and it worked out. She took to the cow's milk right away. I do three servings a day and for the first 2-3 days, she took the final serving in her bottle. Then she went to all straw cups by around day 4 and it's been going great ever since. The only problem was some constipation issues, but it takes their bodies some time to make the adjustment. Good luck! :)
