I too have been thinking about stopping very soon and would be interested to hear how your weaning process goes. Between scheduling my life around pumping sessions and our freezer, which my husband says is a sideshow with all the frozen breast milk, I don't think I can go on for much longer! Good luck with the weaning!

Take your time. Slowly remove one pump session at a time. I think you need to go a week after dropping a session to get your body used to it. Then drop another session and wait another week. I follow a lactation consultant on twitter who talks about this. I think she may have a webinar or article on it. If you're on twitter (are you?) she's @nancyholtzman.

LO is 3.5 months and I exclusively pump. I'm also on a dairy free diet and at the end of my rope with it. I used to pump often and then reduced to 5x a day and now it's 4...but I still produce like 45 oz of milk a day and save 15 oz. So I have a good freezer stash for LO to have breastmilk for awhile longer. I want to reintroduce dairy and see how he does....and if he doesnt react well possibly stop pumping.

Long way of asking....how can I wean pumping without getting mastitis/clogged duct??
