If you prefer dresses, wrap dresses with a tank underneath work well for pumping and nursing and may be ideal in your situation (nursing presumable in front of people in addition to pumping). You can just pull down the front of both.

Just adding to the chorus that I don't have nursing specific work clothes, I just layer a seemless tank (I love the two-way nordstrom ones) under whatever work clothes. However, I won't wear shift dresses or easily wrinkled shirts that don't have easy access.

I have Cake nursing bras that I like ok, I don't think any bra without an underwire is going to be that supportive. I think they come in a lot of different sizes. They are sometimes cheap on Zulily

honestly I wore target nursing bras because I knew that I wouldn't need them forever, I was a DDD pre preg, and nursing I was a DDD/E/F and they still fit ok (I previously used the mother hood nursing bras and much preferred the target ones) layering is your friend and Torrid is a great online retailier for younger plus clothing, and they have great open blazers etc. good luck it's so tricky to navigate!

@HideyHo: for larger nursing bras, I really liked Anita brand. I went to a local baby/momma shop to get fitted.

Agree, I just found flowy shirts that I could wear an undershirt with and it also helped hide the post baby muffin top.

I just wear a nursing tank under whatever shirt I'm wearing. When I go to pump, I just take off my top shirt and sit there in my nursing tank to stay covered. I do this on the weekend too when I'm nursing in that I wear the tank and then pull my top shirt up so that I stay covered.

Hi, ladies. Thanks for the help. I think you're right in that I'm not going to find "nursing clothes" persay. I hate dressing for work, and pre-pregnancy wore a lot of shift dresses (one pieces) and cardigans or blazers, because it was easiest to match. I can definitely switch to a shell type top under a blazer. Something that doesn't wrinkle and is forgiving on my figure. I've found a lot of the tanks (Undercover momma especially) are tight on my stomach at this point. Plus that type of cotton tank would be too informal, even if under a blazer. I was a size DD before pregnancy, now I'm not sure what size I am in real bras. I've been wearing the Rumina pump and feed bras which I really like. But I'm not sure they give me enough support to be out in the world (vs. as I've been so far, at home nursing). Where do you special order from?

Have you tried undercover mama tanks? I wore them a lot either with button ups or looser tunic tops and would just take them off to pump.

Nordstroms for your bras, for sure. Do you have a private place to pump and nurse your baby? I'd probably just buy some not wrinkly shirts, then hope to nurse/pump in private where I could just unbutton/pull them aside.

For my professional look while nursing, I wore mostly cardigans and blazers over tanks/shells that I could lift up or pull down. I never found any nursing tops that were work appropriate, they were all either too casual or low cut. And button up shirts never fit me correctly, nursing or not.

New York & Co was my go to store, as well as Nordstrom.

I am not really in your shoes especially in terms of formal business wear. But if I had to dress that way I would definitely layer with button up type blouses on top, that I could totally remove. And a cute nursing tank I could layer with another tank. Doing the two shirt method, one up one down. Cardigans also to mix it up?

I am a fuller figured mama, too. I honestly never found "nursing clothes" that worked for me. I ended up opting for layering and kept a lot of maternity tops (for their length). Mind if I ask what size bra you'd need? Some department stores carry larger sizes, but given my size I had to special order stuff.

Hi, everyone. I work in a semi-corporate environment. Luckily, I have a daycare in the building, so when I return to work next month I will be both breastfeeding my infant as well as pumping throughout the day. I need advice for where to get business-like clothes that I can nurse in. I have a bigger figure, and that's only enhanced by nursing. (Maybe size 18 or 20). I'd like a few mix and match pieces I can use throughout the next few months as I lose some weight, but I don't want to spend a fortune. Any suggestions? (I've looked at Old Navy, Macys, and Motherhood Maternity - I haven't found anything I love. Also, I have trouble finding nursing clothes at the department stores). Also, nursing bras for fuller figured women? Thanks!
