It's a beautiful dress! I think with it bring a wrap style it will fit at 15w. I was still in most of my regular clothing then with some maternity pants thrown into the mix.

@kjpugs: Oh, that's good news! As long as I don't start veering into Dolly Parton territory (even though I think Dolly is completely awesome), I'll be happy! :silly:

@Ms.Pumpkin: I'm a 40DD (more like a 38 pre preg) and I wore the same bras throughout pregnancy! DH said my boobs grew but I never noticed it. So there's hope!

Thanks, everyone!

@kjpugs: I don't think that I need to go stealth mode for this, and I think that my short torso will probably make me pop a little earlier- I just don't think that there's anywhere for my uterus to hide in there! I'm definitely not thin- kind of a solid size 10, so I think I'll be living in bloaty/pudgy land for a while, which might help!

And yes, we are totally going to be doing well on or taxes this year! I love it!

@Boogs: You just voiced my biggest fear! I'm already a 34 DD, I honestly think that my boobs are gearing up to take over the world, Godzilla-style. When I tried the dress on in Nov, there was a lot of gaping in the arms, so I'm hoping there's room to grow!

At least I think there's reason enough to just wait for the dress to be delivered and see what we can do with it, rather than run out and start searching for something new!

I got married at 18 weeks and while I thought I was really showing, I only had a teeeeeny tiny bump. I bought my dress 2 sizes too big and didn't have to alter it at all. I am also tall, but not short waisted. I think you could still wear that dress, even with a little bump, especially if you bought it big.

Such a pretty dress! I'm really sure you should be able to pull it off, especially because you ordered larger. If anything, I would be more worried about buying large enough for my chest since that great a lot faster than my belly in the first half of my pregnancy. Either way, I think you will be fine. :)

With a short torso you'll probably be showing a little, depending on your size in general now (the more weight you carry generally the less you will show.) However, I think you'll be totally fine- if you ordered it large, just communicate with a tailor and pick a good time to get it altered, as close to the wedding as possible. Is your intention for it to fit, or for it to not look like you're pregnant? I'm not sure you'll be able to hide it (Again, depends on your non-pregnant figure) but I am sure it can be altered well. Most dresses like that have good length and ordering it larger will give you the extra room you need.

I wore a bridesmaid dress at 13 weeks and I'm fairly confident you couldn't tell AT ALL, but it was empire waist, and I carry a lot of weight in my stomach generally so it's never been 100% flat.

Also- congratulations on the pregnancy and wedding! What an awesome tax return you'll have next year, LOL :)

Some people totally don't show until 15 weeks or later. It kind of depends on your body type. I think you will probably be able to get away with it, especially if you bought it large, but it's tough to say. Is the waist fitted (can't really tell from the pic)?

The Mr and I are getting married in late April, and started NTNP this year. Well, the NTNP worked pretty quickly, and if all goes well (keeping fingers crossed that this baby sticks around!), I'll be about 15 weeks at the wedding.

Tonight I just realized that I bought a dress for the wedding a few months ago, and I'm now worried that it isn't going to work! We're doing a really casual, nontraditional wedding, so I ended up buying an ivory lace bridesmaid's dress (photo below). It's a wrap dress, and fortunately, I bought it about a size or two too large, with the intent of tailoring it down to fit.

I'm tallish, but I have a really short torso- at 15 weeks, any guesses on whether I'll be able to get away with this? Or if a really good seamstress could make it work?

If I can't make it work, what on Earth do I do?! Time is a-runnin out!
