I attended a wedding where the groom said vows to the bride's daughter and gave her a necklace after giving her mom her wedding band. It was extremely sweet and a tear-jerking moment for sure!

I love these ideas. The walking out as a family and sand - so adorable.

What about at the reception, putting them either at your table or grandparents' table with special chairs that say something like "Daughter/Son of the Happy Couple"? And I'm sure your daughter would love a plastic champagne glass with apple juice or sprite!

Overall, while I think it's important to include the kids, remember that the parents' relationship is an awesome foundation for a great healthy family - and the wedding is about your relationship. Don't feel guilty for them not being included in every bit - just like the two of you need date nights, you also need your own time in the wedding.

I saw a cute idea where they got a tricycle and decorated it with ribbons and flowers in the wedding colors for the children to ride during the reception.

I also really like the idea of the whole family walking down the aisle together at the end of the ceremony instead of the traditional bride and groom.

I saw something recently where the groom recited vows to his fiance's daughter and that was sweet.

Congratulations! October 3 is a great day!

SO and I have decided to get married October 3rd of this year. I have no idea what I'm doing. I have my dress. DD and DS will be flower girl and ring bearer. DD will also be adopted by SO that day. So all in all is a huge deal for our whole little family.

How do we include the kids more? DD will be 3 and DS will be 1 and a half.

We are including the kids in our sand ceremony but idk how else to incorporate them more.

Any suggestions?
