I am doing the same in September with a 1 year old and a 4 year old DH is in the wedding 9and its his brother who is getting married) The kids are only invited to the ceremony though. I am hoping that my MIL and FIL can help when DH is up there along with his sister and BIL but I dont know. Im a little nervous and we might just end up outside I think but who knows.

I'd just sit on the end in the back so we could step out if needed.

@Beyond2: I just recently went through this (2 weekends ago!). DH was best man in a wedding 8 hours away (by car), so it was going to be me solo parenting two kids - they are 14 months and 3 years 4 months.

We decided to take the older one and leave the younger one with the grandparents, so at least my ratio was 1:1. Would it be a possibility for you to leave at least one of the kids with someone? In your case, I'd consider leaving the older one since the baby would only be 8 weeks old and you can baby wear the whole time.

I'm no help, I leave LO with his grandparents unless it's a close family wedding. I much prefer having a night to get out with my DH and dance, see friends, etc., than worry about baby and leave early because of bedtime.

My nephew was almost 2 at my wedding and his mom was a bridesmaid. The dad ended up having to walk him around outside the ceremony space because he was super hyped up and definitely would have interrupted stuff. Honestly, I'd consider a babysitter, at least for the older child.

I have to agree. I would get a babysitter or skip the ceremony

iPad iPad iPad.

I was in my brothers wedding last summer. Chloe was 20 months, I think. All she wanted to do was run around, which wasn't appropriate or possible at certain times.

The ceremony was also during her nap. In hindsight, I wish my husband and C would have skipped the ceremony and gone straight to the reception instead.

Any tips? DH is in a friends wedding. At that time We'll have a' 21 month old and an 8week old. Kids are invited but I'll have to solo parent while DH does wedding duties. I'll probably wear the 8 week old but does anyone have tips to keep the 21 month old happy? He's a high strung kid...
