We used cloth on trips out of town if we were driving and could bring a laundry basket of diapers (pockets, which take up more space). I'd probably use disposables if we were flying for the space saving. We preferred Earth's Best diapers when we used sposies.

I would do sposies. No reason to go through all of that hassle on vacation!

I don't think its a bad idea to try them out before you go. I really wanted to love seventh generation but they always leak for us. So we do target or pampers.

I only bring cloth on trips if we'll be staying with family, we drive, and I know it wouldn't be a problem to use their washer. In your situation I'd definitely do disposable.

We usually use either Target brand or Pampers.

I'd do disposables! We had reactions to the pampers we got at the hospital. I like Naty baby nature from amazon.

I use disposables. I didn't want to bother with my mom's front loader and pack a lot of stuff.

I would use disposable. I have traveled with cloth to my moms house but it was a packing issue mostly from just having enough with me not to haev to do laundry.

We do sposies when we're out of the house overnight. I far prefer cloth, but it's just not very practical when we're on the road. I know some moms do manage to do cloth when they travel, so I'm sure you can pull it off if that's what you really want to do.

We usually just pick up some Pamers or Huggies when we take a trip. I try to find the ones that are marked "Natural" or "Chlorine-free".

I'm currently on an extended vacation with my 9 month old and we normally cloth diaper. We're doing sposies on the trip. The cloth was just too much of a hassle to deal with for me.

We've been using Target brand and Huggies sposies.

We're going on a weekend trip in February when DS will be 5 months old. We cloth diaper exclusively (pre-folds and covers). I would love to CD on our trip, but I fear it will be difficult, mostly due to storage issues. Here's the situation:

DH, SIL, DS and I leave Friday morning and have a 3-hour flight. We return on Sunday afternoon. We will be renting a car and staying in a hotel. On Saturday, we will be outside for at least 6 hours with limited access to port-a-potties. I will probably be by myself with DS for most of the time that we are outside. We're not sure yet if I will have the stroller with me while we are outside.

My real issues are space in our luggage, space in the diaper bag/stroller, and bringing enough diapers so that I don't have to do laundry while we are there. I currently do CD laundry every other day. We will probably go up a size in the next month and a half.

If I decide to go with sposies, what kind do you recommend - especially CD mamas? Should I try them out before we go to make sure DS doesn't have a reaction? Thanks!
