It was fine! He actually slept really well there. I would NOT recommend going to a wedding (bad first time mama choice) but the rest of the trip was totally lovely. When LO was 8 weeks we did a weekend trip to DC and had a blast. We are about to take a trip up north to see family (about a 11 hour drive with stops) when our newborn is 7 weeks. It's all about what you enjoy. To me staying cooped up for months is my personal hell. I would much rather be out and about! I feel like post preg everything's up in the air for a bit. We went on a long weekend getaway when lo2 was about 6 weeks and lo1 was 2.5 and it was great. We were def more low key than normal but we'd do a morning activity then rest then do an afternoon activity and dinner. Last year we all had toddlers (LO was around 10 months) and it was a total blast! </p> <p>This year it's set for when LO2 will be 4/6 weeks old - is it crazy to consider going?
