Of course people can participate or use it as they wish. If it doesn't seem to gain much momentum I'll just stop. </p> <p>Last time we did them the same day of the week every week. I'm thinking maybe tuesdays? Once these stopped, I just jumped over to the IVF board "just in case", but really, these were good to have. I think that there was one of those "background" threads back when we were also doing the check ins. It was helpful to keep everyone's stories straight. Without sifting pages and pages. </p> <p>Oh and RE: the check-ins. I think that the main difference for me was that it was a new thread weekly and pretty concise. So you didn't have to go back and sift through the whole IVF thread (like me babbling about my protocol, lol) to see who was doing what and when. You could look at the threads week by week. Does that make sense? But I totally get your point which is why I have hesitated to start it up and hence the reason for this poll :-)</p> <p>Oh and do agree that it's nice to see what everyone in IF land is going through holistically. Although I think it's a great idea to make it just a general IF thread--we're all in this together no matter the course of treatment!</p> <p>I think it would be helpful to have some sort of reference for our "stories" though to keep things straight--like what you're doing in terms of treatment, if you have other kids, your diagnosis. I always thought those footers on babycenter message boards were annoying but they're kind of helpful for keeping people straight. It wasn't just for IVF'ers, it was anyone going through the different stages of IF (diagnosis, medicated cycles with TI, IUI, IVF, the whole shebang).<br /> We still had the IVF thread for a more comprehensive chat and IVF specifics, if that makes sense. And the TTC 6+ months, etc. </p> <p>If I took this on, starting the weekly threads, would you guys be interested? Or is it too confusing to have a weekly check in and a big IVF thread? Be honest! </p>
