I'm definitely following your journey since I had my LO early as well. When I talked to my OB, she didn't mention anything we needed to do right away, but she said I would be checked more closely to make sure there are no issues.

@AprilK: Great for the success! My third trimester is going to be a balancing act. I have a history of preterm labor AND of a very large stillborn (10 pounds) at 39 weeks. SO, the goal is to get me to term, but also keep an eye out for baby getting too big. You can wall me more about it...the cervix thing is daunting. My pelvis was so sore by the time I went into labor with S.

I did the weekly shots with my daughter who is 8 weeks old. They made my cervix very sensitive, so had some weird side effects that had me seeing the doc most weeks. I can dm you more, it was a little tmi for the general public!

But dd was born at 38w, 3d so I'm a prog shot success stat! Like did them from 14w-37w.

I didn't, but a friend of mine did. Her first was born at 34 weeks, so she had to go in weekly for the shots with her twins. They made it to 37-38 weeks with no other help!

@Running Elley: I have to go into the office and let a nurse do it...still not a big deal, since the office isn't very far from me.

I had progesterone shots twice a week for the first half of both of my pregnancies (obviously for different reasons). My husband injected me and it wasn't a big deal! We got used to it fast :)

Because DS was born at 32 weeks, my OB office is having me start weekly progesterone shots. I get my first one on Friday.

Has anyone done this?
