It's amazing that after all this time, your LO is able to latch well and you can EBF! Especially considering how much extra work BFing can for the baby over bottle feeding! I think that if things are going well now, they'll just continue to go that way and you can kiss those bottles good-bye (until, you know, you want to use them again so you can actually leave the baby for any period of time, haha)! And if your pediatrician isn't supportive, find a new one! I would've given up by now if it weren't for HB, you guys are awesome and I just can't thank you enough for all the support!</p> <p>@Adira: LO is 8 weeks now and I love EBFing! It's so much easier than pumping and doing bottles. I hated pumping because I always felt like I was missing out on time with LO. I love that there's no more pumping or washing pump parts/bottles. It's a little stressful just not knowing how much he's eating (especially with his unsupportive ped) and wondering if he's gaining enough, but thankfully the IBCLC we've been working with has been amazing and has us coming in for frequent weight checks. For the most part his latch is good. The last time he had a bottle was Friday at 9pm, and it was only 2oz. So he's pretty much been totally breast feeding since the last appt, no fortifier, no bottles!!!</p> <p>His gain was average and she feels comfortable with me continuing to move forward exclusively breast feeding. We go in for a weigh-feed-weigh on Wednesday and we'll keep seeing her for a few more weight checks just to make sure he's getting enough. </p> <p>I'm really excited :) it's hard to believe that a week and a half ago, I was EPing and now I'm EBFing!!!! </p>
