WW didn't really work for me. I put in a ton of effort and only lost a few pounds. I had much more success with keto (which had the bonus of not being $$).

I've done the WW online plan... and I like it! I think it works... it's a little time consuming to start, give it a week or so, then you start getting used to the tracking and you have your favorites saved, etc... then it becomes a lot easier and you just start to know the point count of many things.

I really like the app itself, super easy to use and organize. You can track activity too.

The new plan has a ton of zero point foods so it's good to plan around those, and then you get extra points for splurges per week and you can use them all at once or spread them out so you don't feel deprived.... if you like cheese or sugar this is going to be hard, haha.

good luck!

I used WW online only to lose the last of the baby weight from LO1. It definitely worked for me, and included accommodations for nursing moms, but like any diet plan I'm sure it's not for everyone. I knew I needed firm guidelines to follow so I didn't bend the rules too far like in a self-guided diet, but I also appreciated that there was some flexibility built in for the occasional treat (extra weekly points, workout points, etc.). I don't see myself being able to stick to a super strict plan for very long, nor would I have the discipline to purely calorie count (or whatever) for months on end. Know thyself and what works for you. I know other people who find the meetings more motivating than online only, but I can't imagine I would've enjoyed the extra obligation.

It can be a little time consuming at first to plan everything out, but eventually you get a good feel for the points value of the foods you eat most often. They have an app that makes it easy to look up and record points. And if I recall correctly, I was able to sync my fitbit account so my workouts were logged and accounted for automatically.

I can't say the healthy habits stuck with me much past the end of my subscription, but again that's largely a personal discipline issue. My promo period ended around the time I would've been switching to maintenance mode and I chose not to renew. The weight stayed off until I stopped nursing though! Signing up during a promo also helped me to stomach the cost.

I've done Weight Watchers a couple times and both times I had really good success on it! A lot of fruits and vegetables were zero points, so it really got me in the habit of snacking on healthy options since they didn't cut into my points. I also loved how if I didn't eat my daily amount of points each day, I could indulge a little bit on the weekends, which made it easier for me to stick with it!

That said, I did eventually get sick of counting points and keeping track of everything I ate. I eventually always fell off it because of that reason. But some people do it for years! Or they start getting a really good idea of how many points things are and don't really have to keep physical track of their food anymore. I never really got there, but it's a very straight-forward system and works well, I think. :)

I’ve been on weight watchers since mid January and have lost about 13 pounds. This is the 3rd time I’ve done it and have had success each time. It’s a slower weight loss but I’m ok with that because no single food is restricted. It has made me more aware of potion control and makes me make better food choices. I also haven’t incorporated exercise and I’m still losing. I also am not 100% strict. I do give myself some grace to have junk every now and then. But I have to say I don’t crave the sugar and junk as much anymore. My stomach and taste buds have definitely changed.

I use the app and don’t go to meetings. I find paying for it each month makes me more accountable.

Has anyone here tried Weight Watchers? I've been thinking about joining the Online Plus lately to complement my exercise routine.

I'm generally at what would be considered a "healthy" weight, but my clothes are fitting tighter than usual and my body has changed since having a baby. My goal is to lose a few pounds and change my eating & snacking habits. I don't have great willpower and I'm generally have no interest in sticking with fad diets, so I'm hoping that this might be a good fit.

Is it time-consuming or labor-intensive to keep track of the points? Did you find it to be an easy system to stick with? Worth the $? My husband doesn't think I need to spend money to do something like this (though obviously it's my choice, too) so if I do it I want to stick with it and make it count!

Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences.
