@yellowbeach: @Littlebit7: I know!! The pediatrician told me she thought it was likely Roseola but no rash ever appeared! We were waiting for it too. She never threw up again, so I guess it was a random incident. She’s been acting like normal, eating, etc. she felt warm after nap today but I took her temp and it was normal

I am guessing they are not related but I would call the doctor/nurses line and run through it with them if the fever comes back or if there is more vomiting or strangeness

My kid has had two occasions where she randomly threw up once and then it was nothing and there was no fever. That was between 13 months-2. Hopefully just a fluke, but it still freaks you out!

@bhbee: @muffinsmuffins: thanks. She hasn’t thrown up again & has nursed several times. No fever. She’s still asleep so not sure how she’s doing otherwise but hopefully it was just a fluke!!

I wouldn’t worry unless you see a fever (or other big symptom). Fever returning can mean infection. But I have one kid who throws up a lot and it really can be just random! (She also throws up every time she has a fever regardless of illness.)

DS is older (4) but he had a weird morning a couple weeks ago where he said his throat was sore in the morning after sleeping in, then threw up twice that morning and was totally fine the afternoon on. Maybe something she ate? I would also watch her ears even though they checked them because for some reason DS gets the fever and also vomits once or twice with ear infections. Probably just a couple weird bugs going around.

Last week my 13 month old had 3 days of high fever (103) with no other symptoms. Pedi checked urine, ears, etc & all negative. After 3 days it broke and she’s been fine for the last 5 days. Eating, sleeping, etc normal. Tonight she woke up after 2 hrs of sleep and threw up everywhere. No fever and after we cleaned her up she went back to sleep.

I know this is probably not related but kind of freaking me out a bit! Daycare hasn’t had anyone else out sick. Just random throw up? Thoughts?
