It seems like every couple of days he drops a food that he used to inhale. My 4 year old went through this too and he’s still relatively picky. For school I made bento boxes for lunch so he has a variety. It worked but he still refuses. I keep offering even though he just says “no” and shakes his head. I know that this stage is frustrating but it doesn’t define her at all! Even my nearly 5yo eats things now that he didn’t eat a year ago and is willing to try most things. But he still has days or weeks where he is a PITA.<br /> I mostly just don’t remember it at this age! I literally could have written this about my 15 mo. She shakes her head no or hands back so many things including things she used to like like beans and ravioli and carrots. She eats bread with pb or hummus, avocado, sweet potato, Mac and cheese and fruit. That’s basically it. I honestly think it had to do with figuring out she didn't have to eat what we put in front of her. It was more of a control thing and less of an actual issue with food. Pickier with veggies he loved too, but better than meat. </p> <p>The only consistent thing I can get him to eat are beans (black, pinto, etc) and lentils. Which thankfully are both very healthy, but the variety over here is pretty minimal lately. </p> <p>He also won’t eat cheese or eggs, but that’s been ALWAYS. So his protein options are severely lacking since refusing meat. </p> <p>Could it be teething??? I’m pretty perplexed. </p>
