spotting will not alter the results. It doesnt matter- your doctor plugs in info about LMP prior to sending to the lab. :)

I went for my annual this year (pre-chemical pregnancy by a couple day) and had been experiencing brown CM/discharge beforehand. My doctor could see it during the exam but it didn't seem to impact anything. If it's the day after, I would think you'd be fine. If it's the last day, maybe call your doctor's office and ask?

Okay thanks everyone I will call and ask the doctor to be sure. I would hate for the spotting to skew my results

This happened at my last one. I called to ask if it was okay and they said as long as the period is light it's no problem at all.

I've had my pap while in the middle of my period. I called the office and the Dr. told me to keep my appointment. I was a little weirded out, but she didn't seem to mind... :/

I'm pretty sure I've had my annual while I was still spotting, but the details are a little fuzzy. I think it should be ok, though.

I had a pap done during the second day of my period last spring (thanks to coming off bcp, my cycles were totally crazy and unpredictable! i thought my period would have been over for days when I scheduled the appt...) and it was completely fine, the dr was able to do the pap just fine and didn't need it to be rescheduled.

They can do it, but I think if you're still spotting it may skew the results and you'll have to come back and have it redone. I'm a spotter so I'd probably reschedule, but if your period ends cold turkey then i think you're good to go.

Is it weird to have a pap smear done on the last day of your period or on the day immediate after your period?

I have a pap scheduled and its really hard to get saturday appointments at my OB ( she only works one saturday every month) and now my current appointment is going to be either the last day of my period or the day after it ends. Is it okay to keep the appointment or should I reschedule again
