Yes she thinks she's very hilarious. And she's one of those people that talks all day just to hear her voice.</p> <p>Now that i've calmed down, i'm actually more likely to sit down quickly with her manager. We're friendly and she's very nice and i would feel comfortable expressing this issue. I work at a very large company so yeah, hr is kind of a crazy thing and would require documentation and stuff that i dont want to get into</p> <p>I agree that some people say things like "oh, i'm so retarded" and while that irks me a bit, these are crazy, super specific statements. I sit next to a young woman at work (she's like 33) and she talks all. day. long. Sometimes it's work-related, sometimes not, but she just never shuts up. She's also very thin and constantly talks about her diet and exercise and she calls our little candy bowl "the fat kid area."</p> <p>I mostly ignore her because i dont want to get dragged into her nonsense, but she imitates people's accents, which could easily sound like she's making fun of a race if someone just happened to walk by. She also weird/random/possibly offensive things like "i feel like i have a brain tumor" and always calls herself "fat" even though she's maybe a size 0. </p> <p>I'm always thinking to myself, someday someone is going to report her to HR for saying something offensive, even though she's never said anything that directly offends me. Then out of nowhere yesterday (she does not know i'm adopting) she says "yeah, getting one of those scarves was like adopting a kid from china." :shocked: </p> <p>I didn't say anything to her and I wasnt super personally offended because i just feel like she is annoying more than anything. Does anybody work with people like this? Would it drive you absolutely nuts like it does me? </p>
