Our nieces and nephew all started ski lessons at 3 and they're all probably better than me at skiing than I am at boarding. I think they can only start skiing at a young age. Boarding lessons have a higher age minimum. Not sure if that's changed. Skiing is more technical anyway so I would want my kids to start with that.</p> <p>@tequiero21: The good news is, it's been 5 years since I last went but didn't notice a decline in my ability (limited as it is) so it's very much like riding a bike. The last two ski trips we went on, I was pregnant both times. My goal was to just not injure myself but I ended up doing pretty well. I didn't fall at all although I stayed only on the blue trails. It was so much fun and missed it do much - can't wait to take the kids one day! </p>
