It's not as easy as it is in the summer, but so worth it. We went for a walk today and it was 16 degrees. With some base layers (like cuddle duds, you can get them cheap at places like Walmart), a thicker mid layer like fleece, and a wind/waterproof outer layer, plus hats/mittens/wool socks/boots, you should be pretty good at 32F! It's so worth it to let them burn off energy, get fresh air, avoid germy places, see the sunlight, see what the world looks like in winter. Winter goes by a lot faster if you don't try to avoid it! Playdates at friends' houses or even having little friends over to your house helps! We do playdates at least once per week. </p> <p>I think it was Mrs. Bunny that posted on the blog about their outings in her small town where there aren't a lot of activities. But I would bundle up and head out, even if it's for just 15 minutes. It makes a world of difference. My LO is still crawling at 10.5 months so that makes outside a little harder when it's cold and wet. But when I baby sat we were outside everyday all NYC winter long. I know there are places much colder. It did wonders for all of us. Is that an option for you? She can play, look at books, the iPads and run around a bit. It's too cold here to go outside for walks or to the park, and we live in a tiny town where there aren't many indoor activities (unless you count grocery shopping - ha). I WFH so we're both in the house A LOT and I feel awful that DD (21 months) isn't getting to go out and experience anything except on the weekends. We go to the grocery store a few times per week and I try to take her window shopping just so we're out of the house, but we're going crazy! </p>
