Yes! I over react to everything. DH is constantly telling me to not worry about whatever it is. For instance I was convinced her belly button was infected and DH found online how it is normal to have a little dried blood esp if they lose it within a week. It is totally normal looking now.

I have to admit that I didn't go into full blown hypochondriac mode until DD was in daycare. She wasn't sick at all for her first year of life, and then we moved and put her in daycare. She was SO sick. I was convinced every night she would barf and everything was the flu. I was pretty horrible and worried about it. I have backed off a little, but I know when she starts preschool in the fall I will be on edge for awhile.

Looking back, I was such a hypochondriac when it came to Lo's health the first 8 weeks or so of her life. Anytime I would read and research something, I was CONVINCED she had what I was reading! Here were all of the things i diagnosed her with: reflux, silent reflux, tongue tie, lip tie, dairy and soy intolerances.

I think my biggest problem was that I needed to know WHY she was crying and fussing during breastfeeding and I wouldn't accept the fact that maybe she was just a fussy, semi colicky baby. Like I needed to find a reason for why she was the way she was so I could fix it! The crying for no reason part stressed me out so bad, made me feel like I couldn't comfort my own daughter! But magically around 8-10 weeks it was like a light went off and she was a totally different baby. Breastfeeding was no longer a screaming session and she is now the happiest, smiley, goofball, and I think that when she was a newborn she probably just had colic of some sort and had a harder time adjusting to the outside world!
