No. Only some white onesies for their first year. They were born the same season too, but I didn't have a lot of gender neutral items!

Yes! Poor baby #2 hardly has any new clothes... she wears almost all hand-me-downs.

My girls have lined up perfectly for hands me downs so far. Hopefully it'll work out the same as the baby grows.
I've found myself buying more expensive things for #1 because now I know I can definitely reuse.

So far, all of them. I have two girls born in the same season (only 2 weeks off of one another). DD was much harder on her clothes as she got older though, so I anticipate there being fewer handmedowns after the baby stage.

We have two girls, which makes it significantly easier. They are seasonally different (August and November). The little is only 3.5 months, but so far we are getting good use out of the hand me down 3-6month clothes. The little seems to be growing slower as well, so that could really help in the long run.

Also now that the older is 3.5, her shoes definitely can't be handed down. She wears them out.

The older has so.many.clothes that even if she wears a few things out, she still has plenty to pass along.

Given that we have two girls, I'm so glad I kept everything. If our second were a boy, it would have been a waste. We have very few gender neutral items.

My son ruins most of his clothes, so there is very little that I can save for DD. I really try though!

I hope so! But they're different season babies, so I'm sure we'll have to supplement here and there with clothes. I've sold most of DS#1's shoes though, so we'll be mostly buying new for shoes for DS#2!

I would say little brother got to wear all of the early 3 month stuff, but after that maybe only 50% or less. Their seasons were different and little brother grew faster and is bigger.

I think my kids are the same amount of months apart as your kids. The only items my son can really pass on to my daughter are pjs. My son can wear the same size pants for several years and they end up getting pretty beat up. Same with his shoes. Besides, my daughter has a very specific style so she would never wear her brother's clothing.

Following. I've been wondering this lately as I start to pack LO's (9 month) outgrown clothes away. I'm having a war with myself whether to only keep the few things I LOVED and/or had special meaning. Or keep any and all things that are still in good shape in the hopes that our future #2 will wear them.

DD1 was born at end of April and DD2 end of August. I've been able to reuse almost everything. But DD2 is blowing through the sizes even quicker than her big sister. So I've been supplementing here and there as needed. DD2 is 6 months and already in 12m sleepers!!

Charlie and Olive were born in December and October respectively. Olive didn't wear too many of Charlie's hand-me-down clothes though because they grew at different paces and had different body types.

For instance, Olive has a size 9 foot right now and Charlie has a 10. When he outgrows his shoes, they're the wrong season for her. Charlie also destroys his shoes so I can't really pass most of them on to her (esp his daily sneakers).

Charlie also has very short legs while Olive is slimmer with longer legs, so different styles fit them better. Charlie can wear pants for years and will outgrow the waist before the length! Meanwhile Olive is thin so while the length will fit her, the waist is often big.

I didn't get nearly as much wear out of the gender neutral items like I expected!
