I'm worried about this too! I already have such low supply, I don't want to harm it even more by working out :/

I never worked out super intensely post partum, but I was able to run 2-3x a week and do an exercise video 1-2x a week without impacting supply.

@grizz: I am pretty sure my workouts contributed to my supply issues. . . any extended cardio seemed to negatively impact my supply. I say *seemed* because it is just so hard to pinpoint whether it was stress, extended cardio, what I ate/didn't eat . . . but on days where everything was pretty much the same, I had to assume it was the cardio. BUT, that is not always the case! Sometimes despite eating clean whole foods, getting plenty of water, and as much rest as possible, I still have an off pumping day.

I'd really like to go back to Zumba and running but I don't want to compromise breastfeeding.

I worked out a lot with decent intensity and it never affected my supply. I ate more and drank lots of water.

I don't think workouts really have had any effect on my supply. I do treadmill intervals twice a week, weights/running with the stroller twice a week.

I'd like to be able to resume my workouts as soon as I'm cleared by my OB postpartum, but I also don't want to compromise my supply! How much were you able to do without affecting breastfeeding?
