We have a long history - technically we met in middle school! But even though he swears he remembers me I don’t remember him (too shy).</p> <p>We were introduced at a friends grad party in high school (with my boyfriend in tow). Then again a few years into college at another party (at same friends house). I was yet again dating someone else but I hung out with him and his friends for the whole night. I found/stalked him on FB after that and we became friends. He was home for an internship that summer and we hung out several times. Movie nights, concerts, watching dumb shows with friends till late at night. Again, I was dating yet another person who was not him, but when we broke up that winter he invited me up to his city to come to a house show with a band he thought I’d like. I fully intended to find one of his friends and let off some steam but ended up hanging out with him all night. The next morning we met up again for breakfast and before I left for home we kissed. The next weekend he came to see me, and that’s that.<br /> 13 years later (10 years married) and here we are! We lived in separate dorms for first year and met through mutual friends. We moved with 5 other friends to an off campus house for our 2-4th year. We had quite a few drunken hookups and snuck around sleeping in each other’s rooms to hide (not very well!) from our roommates. And then spent a torturous summer apart when we both went back to our respective hometowns :silly: When we came back to school, we had ‘the talk’ and started officially dating and stayed through the summer from then on out. I had some smart assed remark, and he popped one right back at me. I decided to creep him, he seemed like my kind of people. So I added him on Facebook, messaged him a couple times, asked what he was doing this weekend. He said nothing, so I told him we're going camping... Case of beer and the middle of BFE later and we're friends/acquaintances with benefits 🤷🏼‍♀️.</p> <p>I was 23 and in my longest dry spell since jumping on the ole sloot wagon, and figured why the hell not 😂 snuck around the work fraternization policy for a bit, acted like we didn't know each other at work, realized it didn't apply to us because we weren't under one or the other while on the clock... So we became a thing.</p> <p>Later his parents and campaign management tried to get him to ditch me because they were convinced I was a plant from the competition trying to distract him from his campaign and all that bullshit. But that's another story, another day, and one of 422,456 reasons we are no contact with the ole in laws. </p> <p>Funny thing is a friend's girlfriend tried to set me up with him just by pointing him out and I laughed and said "nope, that's not my type" and walked away.
