When I got to the hospital (1 hour later), I was contracting regularly and had progressed to 3 cms.</p> <p>With DS, I was 3 cms at 37 and 38 weeks, and went into labor at exactly 39 weeks. By the time I got to the hospital, I'd been having timeable contractions for about 5 hours, with painful contractions the last 2 hours;, but I was still only at 3 cms! By the time I was contracting regularly with plenty of pain, I was 2.5cm. This was exactly at 40 weeks, and I stayed in active labor until I delivered the next morning. </p> <p>I just had one of my weekly 9th month appointments and found out I'm 2cm dilated!!! I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. </p> <p>If you found out you were dilated before active labor started, how much later did you go into labor? </p>
