I'm more excited than anything. She has had many sleepovers with MIL so mostly the logistics have me tripped up! We could have to call her at 3am or midday or who knows what!

Yes! I nursed her before I left and I cried. She was such a little trooper though. I didn't know it at the time but that was the last time she ever nursed!

I'm not worried about being away from lo. Done that many times. I do think it will be emotional knowing that the next time I see her she will be a big sister and not my only little baby. Of course she'll be three then, lol.

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with #2 and I've been thinking about this a lot. I've been away from LO, but only for one day/one night at the most. I'm super emotional anyway and I was a hot mess right after LO was born, so I can only imagine.

Glad to hear it might not be as bad as I think!

Nope - not at all. I was excited to give him a sibling. I knew I was having a rcs, but it unexpectedly got moved up so I didn't have time to worry about it.

Oh yes, I was holding him sobbing the night before my c-section! It was pretty ridiculous - I'm typically totally fine with being away overnight and was very excited for him to have a sibling, it just kind of hit me out of nowhere.

I have so much anxiety about this! We have no family in the country we live in and no childcare so if I go into labour early we are screwed. I am very lucky in that a lovely friend who DD loves and trusts has said she is always welcome there so I know in an emergency we would be okay, but I dearly wish I had a grandparent nearby for times like this.

Oh yeah absolutely. I was very emotional through the entire pregnancy. I blogged a lot about my fears and worries as well as what happened after her birth. I am less worried this time because of how wonderful it ended up with my daughter but I also feel bad for my daughter as she will be a whole year younger than my son was when she was born so she has less time being the baby too. She is such a sweet baby too

I was ridiculously emotional about this my entire second pregnancy. Sobbed almost instantly thinking about it, ha. Both because I'd be leaving my baby/only and coming home to her being the big sister, and because I'd never been away from her overnight before!

However, when the time came we were in the midst of a fresh behavior and nightmare phase, and I was sort of glad for the break. HA. I wasn't emotional seeing her in the hospital either..totally unlike me. A welcome surprise, though, ha.
