From the time I was 11 as well. I would get home, make myself something to eat, and either play with my friends in the hood (latchkey kids the lot of us) or watch Saved By the Bell X4. As school got more intense I used that time to do homework, but I was also given more responisibility in terms of getting dinner ready. So we were latch key kids starting from then, which was pretty great for my independence. I learned a lot more about how to cook and clean, just because we had to do a lot more of that around the house! </p>
