It was fun and I really loved living in the massive, stereotypical sorority house, but once my four years were done, that was it. I have no desire to remain an active alum or anything like that. The traditional sororities pretty much kept to themselves, but the fraternities tended to throw parties and I would go. I probably would have pledged a historically Black sorority like DST or AKA (most likely the former). The greek scene wasn't huge at my school, but not tiny. My roommate from freshman year joined one, and I hate to say it, but she was the stereotypical sorority girl. I'm pretty sure she subsisted on diet coke and celery alone, and came home passed out drunk at least twice a week. The woman supposedly went undercover in a sorority and wrote about all the horrible things she experienced. She basically tries to make horrible things happen so she can then say how awful sororities are.
