Well, if my 11.5 weeks of pregnancy with LO #2 is anything to go by, yes, I will be more relaxed. I'm just not fussed about anything with this pregnancy - not really following any pregnancy rules (I am loosely but I've already had a ham sandwich, soft serve, sushi, rare meat, a small glass of wine, etc) and I haven't even gotten around to taking a prenatal yet, although I have been taking folic acid and iodine religiously, along with the occasional vitamin D as I'm currently deficient. If this is any indicator of my parenting style with the next, then yes, I will most definitely be more relaxed!

It's almost scary how relaxed I am right now - last time I couldn't get enough of researching and reading about my pregnancy, this time I'm just like meh, whatever! :-)

Yes overall more relaxed, but you still won't find me going to a drive thru...

I was/am more relaxed.
Now with #3 I just 'know' stuff. If that makes sense. I don't stress about things. I'm confident in my skills as a mother.

Way more relaxed! I'm sort of immune to some of the crying now... it doesn't raise my stress levels the way it did with #1. I'm also a lot more loose with our routine and everything just feels more natural. I'm a lot more confident overall with my parenting decisions.

DD never had a bite of McDonald's until she was over 2 years old; S got his first French fry at about 11 months. It's a rare thing so I don't worry too much about it, but yeah, I've been much more relaxed with y second. The upside to that is that #2 has also been a lot less stressful, even if he does occasionally get McDonald's for lunch. :)

Yes, but I don't think it's due to her being #2. I was 17 and clueless with my first so everything was scary. It's now 7 years later and I'm a nurse so I'm way more knowledgeable about things. But, as far as sleeping and schedules, I'm actually LESS relaxed.

@Rubies: That's true! I have a kid in first grade, and I have to take him to and from school, which is a production in the afternoons...plus other things going on. We're not going to be able to bend the entire family's schedule on one baby's nap time.

Yes, for sure. With food and everything else. Starting in pregnancy. I mean, we still have our fundamentals in place, but the rest... It's kind of liberating!

Even though I'm just pregnant with my second, I am more relaxed in a lot of ways. I don't pay attention to weekly updates on how he is growing, and I eat more freely and don't always follow the rules. When he arrives, I'm sure I will be relaxed about most things, but his health will always be a priority. I spend most of my time cooking for LO, and I strive to make him healthy meals. The same will apply with 2+ kids.

I already know that I'll be more relaxed when it comes to crying. Everyone has told me, though, that once #2 is here, I won't have the time or luxury to remain committed to such a strict sleep/nap schedule with #1. I hope they're wrong.

I'm not a parent of two yet ... but I hope I'm more relaxed about some things - like sleep and routines ... but not so much on health :)

I can totally imagine being more relaxed, although I like to think that I'm already pretty chill. But I would not run through a drive through with one child or with ten. Nope.

We don't let LO eat sweets or junk food, but we are constantly getting comments about it. Everyone says when #2 comes along (they are saying hypothetically since they don't know we are expecting), we won't care about what they eat. "You will be running through the drive-thru more than you think".

I like to believe this won't happen and that we can still maintain a healthy diet for our next baby. Were you more relaxed with your second (or more) LO? It can be with anything, not just eating related.
