We hiked to the top of a mtn. just outside Anchorage, AK. I was cold, wet and a little crabby. Then he pulled out a ring. I was totally not expecting it. I looked terrible. On the hike down we met a bear. It involved climbing a tree and running down the mountain with out a trail. Which TOTALLY P'd me off she gave that away. Because knowing this I knew it would be the next fairly different thing we did. Which was a weekend we had his DD and we did an easter egg hunt. I didnt know how or exaclty when. But due to someones big mouth I knew it was coming SOON.<br /> Had an easter egg hunt with DD and he had this huge egg hidden that had my name on it and the ring was inside. I never brought up marriage and we had never really talked about it (though, we talked about “the future” a lot) because I was happy and content with how things were in our relationship – little did I know he really wanted to “take the next step” and had wanted to for months. We def had talks about marriage and he knew that I didn't feel comfortable moving in together without being engaged (due to my parents) and while it was a topic of conversation all summer long and I thought I'd figure out his plan; he completely blew me away the night he actually proposed. </p> <p>It was during the final walk through of our house, I was totally scrubbed out in a t-shirt and jeans... he proposed in our master bedroom (the last room of the checklist)... and had our realtor video tape the whole thing.</p> <p>COLOR ME SHOCKED!</p> <p>(I watched the video last night and I'm so happy to have the keepsake!) </p>
