I'm only 13 weeks into my second pregnancy, but I have already noticed some differences. With the first pregnancy I was so nauseous that I didn't get off the couch for 6 weeks and lived on popcorn and Popsicles. I slept great and never got out of bed before 11am! This time I have had much less nausea and food aversions, but because I am still BFing DS my appetite has been out of control and I have yet to gain weight. I have trouble sleeping this time because I wake up hungry or thirsty or need to pee and then can't fall back to sleep!

During both pregnancies though I was a hormonal jerk face for the first 8 or 9 weeks, then all of a sudden I was totally calm and happy.

with DS i had no nausea, LOVED/NEEDED spicy food, only red sauce gave me instant indigestion/heartburn.
with #2 i had constant nausea for the first 14 1/2 weeks, can't really stand spicy food, EVERYTHING gives me indigestion/heartburn

we find out at the end of the month if my different symptoms means different gender

So DH and I are planning to TTC #2 this year. During my first pregnancy, I had horrible nausea for the first 16 weeks. I'm not looking forward to that.

For those who have gone through more than one pregnancy, were your symptoms similar with each pregnancy?
