But I also asked to be tested for measles because there was an outbreak near me during my first pregnancy, and my husband taught at a school that didn't require immunization. My doctor checked immunities (not sure which ones) and genetic screening then. My doctor just did the tests automatically, I didn't even realize they were optional. Was it standard or due to history or due to work status (working with kids, etc)? </p>
