But there were only two of us. We were the oldest grandchildren though and we were def the favorites of my grandparents! This was bc we lived just up the road from them so we had lots of contact with them. I give props to my parents bc I "feel" like I was the favorite even though I know I wasn't and I think my brother would say the same! But there was only 2 of us. My extended family has always favored me though. I loved it as a kid but now as an adult I see how hurtful it was to my brother, and even my mom and aunt got booted when I came along. I think my brothers were favored by my mom. In retrospect, I think my dad was harder on the boys in many ways, but he was gone so often for work that my mother was the dominant parent so it seemed to matter more who my mom favored.</p> <p>But recently, we were talking about this and two of my siblings said now that we're all adults, I'm the favorite. I don't think that's true but I do think my mom and I get along pretty well these days. Anyway, there are 6 of us kids and we are all really different. At this age, I wouldn't say it's discernable (to me) that my mom favors any of us over others.
