It's funny that most of them had never been to a baby shower and ours was their first! SIL has kids, and so did two of my friends, and their product recommendations were very helpful and they did offer some advice, but even that and classes did not properly prepare me for the first month! I'm planning on writing up a list to help my friends in the future, and also to remind ourselves of what that first month was like for a future LO! </p> <p>Good luck TTC!! And about half are pregnant, so I was among the first.</p> <p>In my family, my sister got pregnant 5 months before me, then me and so far no one else.</p> <p>I'm not still friends with most HS friends, but none of them have kids. Only a handful are even married right now. I think now that I am pregnant, if one of our friends were to be pregnant I'd ask different things and be more "interested" than before - so I think it natural!</p> <p>ETA: my only advice for TTC is not to obsess! We got on prenatals, cleaned up our diets and were eating fertility friendly foods, cut out caffeine and alcohol, and both were exercising regularly. I didn't chart but had a vague idea, and we got pregnant on the second month. My husband is his late thirties and most of his friends are done or just finishing up, minus the few stragglers! </p> <p>Most of my friends in the city are a bit younger than I, so I'm a couple steps ahead. I know it will change certain relationships as they have already begun changing since I became pregnant.
