It backs right up to a middle school, elementary school, and interior park! DH was so happy, he always says we can toss our kids over the wall for school! </p> <p>One thing I didn't think about as much was to get a space with a designated "playroom" or "play area". We wanted a good school district, and a big enough backyard to run around in :) The house we ended up picking has this glorious, tree-filled back yard that I thought would be just amazing to have as a kid! I won't say it was a deciding factor, but we're in a very good school district -- I bought it more for the resale value at the time, and a "well, just in case...". </p> <p>Who would have thought that I'd buy a 3 bedroom (with an option to turn it into a 4 bedroom) twin as a single woman and then meet my SO who has two children of his own? But I couldn't imagine not anyway-- neither of us ever planned to buy a home particularly young, so we knew we would eventually have kids that would go to school. </p> <p>That said, we aren't totally against a house that doesn't have great public schools but has a very good private option nearby. It wouldn't be our first choice but we aren't ruling that out.
