My contractions started around 3 am and I was all 'is this labor, should i wake DH, no I should let him sleep till it's time'. And then during the day I was nervous and had a Drs appt and then took a long walk and went out to dinner and then contractions just kept getting worse. I had 5 nights of false labor from 1 or 3 am till 7 am then 37 hours of consistent contractions just to get into active labor with 8 more hours on top of that before P was born. I rested between contractions &amp; in early labor while I could (we did NOT push labor along) but I was still pretty exhausted by the end. I had been on bed rest so I was spending a lot of time sleeping. I would sleep 5-6 hours at night, be awake for a couple hours, take a 2 hour nap, then up for a few more hours and that was the entire last week of my pregnancy. I hadn't taken my nap of the day when I was called in for an induction, but I'd slept fairly well. Then I labored at home all day until 8 pm so I took a lot of naps. That was pretty ideal in terms of me being well rested. </p> <p>I really fear that I'll go into labor at the end of a work day when I am totally exhausted this time around. That would not be ideal! </p>
