Mostly similar, easy pregnancies. I had a boy then a girl. The major difference that my husband saw was crazy libido with the boy and practically none with the girl. :silly:

First was super easy with no nausea, only symptom was heartburn. Second (another boy) the heartburn was worse and started early and made me pretty nauseous, also had back pain that was so severe at the end. Third (a girl) with severe back pain starting in the first tri and fatigue + nausea in first tri which I never had with the first two. So they haven't been drastically different but I would say gradually more difficult.

12.5 weeks in, and they are fairly similar? First pregnancy I was tired all the time, and queasy all the way up through delivery. I didn't throw up a lot but had major food aversions, lost 15 lbs by this point and had a lot of trouble putting and keeping it back on. I had a SCH which didn't resolve until after delivery. My boobs didn't change and never hurt.

This time I'm so exhausted I've dozed off at my desk, but it's different. Last time I was a childless nanny--this time I work a full time desk job and solo parent an active toddler in the evenings. I was already tired before I got pregnant, lol! I've been constantly queasy, but it's let up a lot in the past week or two. My appetite was gone for a while, but is definitely returning, although I've thrown up more (like 3-4 mornings per week). I've lost 3-4 lbs.

I have another SCH, but it seems to be resolving now (brown spotting off and on for the past 2 or so weeks), and my boobs are huge and killing me. And I'm way moodier. I think I was pretty zen last time, this time I snap so easily :bummed:

My second one was very different as far as how I felt. I was much more sick. But I wasn't as fatigued in the first tri....and my back was a lot worse this time. It's all gone away since I delivered, thankfully!

pregnancy with DS1 was much easier. I had minor nausea for two weeks, LOVED the golden second trimester, and didn't feel the pain of fatigue since I could pretty much sleep whenever I wanted to. The last few weeks were a lil rough with heartburn and a second bout of nausea, but nothing compared to the symptoms this time. I've gained less and started out smaller too, but the symptoms overall have been WAY worse. I was sick longer and stronger, to the poitn I was on meds for a while. The bigger I get, the more painful the symptoms I get, whereas last time I was sort of oblivious or didn't have them!

My activity level though is WAY higher this time around, which probably adds to a lot of my pains! :P I just don't know how to slow down, esp with chasing after a toddler!

On the plus side, I'm smaller this time around, and I've been much more calmer and less hormonal :)

I'm only 6 weeks in, but so far, no, not at all. I had no symptoms during pretty much my entire 1st trimester last time. This time I'm having nausea, diarrhea, my boobs hurt, exhaustion...much less pleasant this time around!

More different than same (both boys). My earliest symptoms were the same - bloating and burping, though the burping was not as bad.

My 1st pregnancy was so hard. I always was hurting (round ligament pain, pubic pain, carpal tunnel, etc) and I was exhausted the whole time.

The second pregnancy felt like a breeze. I didn't slow down until probably 8-9 months. I just didn't hurt as bad and I defintely wasn't as swollen.

Mine have been similar, though not exactly the same. I have similar symptoms but some are milder this time- like nausea wasn't as bad and didn't last as long but felt pretty similar.

I'm more tired this time but that probably has a lot to do with already having a toddler who thinks sleep is optional.

So far exactly the same (with two exceptions-- I spotted a little in my first but not this one, and I'm gaining more weight earlier) So far, same symptoms as far as morning sickness- nauseous all day from 6 weeks on and throwing up starting at 10ish weeks.

So similar! Only difference is I'm having a girl this time (or so they say) and I started feeling more tired and achy eariler on (34ish weeks). That I blame on spending my days chasing a toddler!

My second was worse than my first, which I didn't think was possible. With my first I had horrible morning sickness that I needed anti-nausea medication to control. I was sick until week 17, and then I felt pretty good from then on. Although I didn't have much of an appetite at the beginning, I didn't lose any weight and actually gained more than I should have by the end.

With my second, the morning sickness returned, and I again needed the medication to keep me from vomiting all day long. However, even on the medicine, I was still feeling like crap and lost about 8 pounds in my first trimester. The morning sickness lasted until 22 weeks this time around! I feel fine now though, but the beginning was rough, especially with a toddler to take care of!

I should add that both times I had a boy!

Mine have been completely different (and same gender).

With DS1, I had mild nausea in the first trimester (along with being tired). I had the golden second trimester where I felt good most of the time. Third trimester I had a lot of aches and pains (mostly sciatic, but also weird wrist pains). I had horrific heartburn every day, all day, the entire pregnancy.

This time, I had never ending nausea. Literally still comes and goes at 34 weeks. Docs put my on meds at 18w (after me refusing many times before that), because of my lack of weight gain. The exhaustion was worse than the first time and lasted throughout the second trimester. I literally couldn't get through the day without a nap. I don't have as many aches and pains thankfully, although I just have more general discomfort, if that makes any sense. I still have heartburn, but nowhere near as bad as with DS1.

Mine were both the same and different. They were very much the same for the first and most of second trimester (even though I had a boy and a girl). My cravings were a little different but that's it. In the later part of pregnancy I had an easy time with my first pregnancy although I got SO big. With my second my Doc pulled me from work and put me on modified bedrest because of a shortent cervix at 30weeks. So that part of pregnancy was different.

Really different. I had constant mild nausea after 20 weeks in my first pregnancy, and nothing like that this time. The first time I barely gained any weight, didn't retain water or swell at all, and had to be induced due to low fluid at 41 weeks. This time I've already gained way more weight and I'm swelling some. I'm also in way, way better shape, so I've got plenty of energy even at 35 weeks, and I'm mostly back pain free.

Pretty much exactly the same. Same symptoms, same crazy number of BH's, same mild GD. Weight gain seems similar, though I didn't pay much attention so I'm not positive. Just hoping for a different outcome (and so far this LO is perfect at 32 weeks)!

No. My first pregnancy was smooth sailing - no morning sickness, nothing unusual. My second had me in the hospital for fluids, on Zofran for morning sickness and in PT twice a week for SI issues. I also had a low-lying placenta the second go around. And late term hypertension that required lots of monitoring. All of that said, both I and baby came out of it totally healthy! And my second was a much easier baby!

Like the title says, were your pregnancies? I had a fairly easy pregnancy in terms of nausea and morning sickness and we are thinking of ttc soon but I'm worried I won't be as lucky next time. So tell me how your second or third pregnancies compared to your first?
