That's so scary!
If it's not cool enough outside (not sure where you live) you can open the freezer too. And close the door of the bathroom after running a hot shower.
Hope she feels better soon!

So last night was interesting. Lo seemed to be really restless while sleeping and around midnight woke up sounding like she was choking and having trouble breathing. My mom happened to be staying with us for the week, so I woke up her and we assessed lo. Well, I finally said do we need to call 911 and she said yes. So, the fire department and ambulance had to make a visit. Lo stopped wheezing and they checked out and said she was okay. I told them I felt stupid for calling, but they assured me I did the right thing, especially given her age. They left and then lo spiked a fever. We called the nurses' line and the nurse suspected it is croup. She told me that had I not had the paramedics out, she would recommend that we take her to the children's hospital, but since she was checked out to check with our dr in the morning. We got an appointment and it turns out she has croup. Her lungs sound clear, so that was good. With as bad as she sounds, they kept saying she was having a mild case and was okay. We just need to keep the humidifier going, suction her nose, and take her outside If she is having probs breathing.

I'm so glad she's okay and I can't imagine how bad she would have to sound to get meds or more. And I'm exhausted since I pretty much sat up with her all night.
